Communities dedicated to public affairs -

Through the ACDV and Protéines France communities, B4C provides its members with spaces for consultation, advocacy, and collaborative development.

Within B4C, the communities dedicated to public affairs serve as forums for collective action, enabling bioeconomy stakeholders to advocate for shared positions with French and European public authorities. They foster dialogue among industry players, researchers, trade associations, and regional stakeholders to help shape evolving regulatory frameworks, support innovation, and strengthen the competitiveness of bio-based value chains.

Alliance for Plant-Based Chemistry (ACDV)

The ACDV is the B4C community dedicated to influencing and promoting bio-based products derived from plant-based chemistry and industrial biotechnology.

The primary objective of the ACDV Community is to bring together stakeholders across the bioeconomy value chain—and specifically those involved with bio-based products—to establish a regulatory framework conducive to the sector’s development.

This community is the result of the merger between ACDV and B4C, decided in 2025 and implemented in 2026.

The ACDV is the forum where bio-based industry stakeholders collectively build the conditions for the sector’s growth and competitiveness.

Protéines France

Protéines France is the B4C community dedicated to the development and promotion of sustainable proteins derived from plants, algae, insects, and fermentation processes.

The primary objective of the Protéines France community is to unite stakeholders across the value chain in order to accelerate the development of these sectors and foster the emergence of new protein sources that are available at scale, competitive, nutritious, easy to use, and enjoyable to consume.

The community works to develop complementary supply chains capable of addressing environmental, economic, and societal challenges while offering diverse solutions to stakeholders in the agri-food and retail sectors, as well as to consumers. It also helps create a favorable environment for their development by championing the sector’s priorities with public decision-makers and fostering dialogue among ecosystem stakeholders.

This community was formed through the integration of Protéines France into B4C, effective January 1, 2026.
